Our story

How it all began

Empathia was founded on a deep commitment to community-based care — and a belief that people deserve compassionate, personalised support at home.

Rachael, Founder and Managing Director

Rachael is the Founder and Managing Director of Empathia Ltd, which was founded in 2024.

She created Empathia on a wealth of knowledge and care experience. Her career in healthcare began in 2008, when she worked as a Community Support Worker for Worcestershire County Council. Over the following years she gained a wide variety of experience in the care industry, including working as a Health Care Assistant at Malvern Community Hospital.

Rachael’s love for care led her to complete a Nursing degree at the University of Worcester, graduating with honours in 2016. Her nursing career took her straight back into the community, where she specialised as a Community Nurse for five years with the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and later as a Senior Community Nurse for a further two years.

Her dedication to healthcare in the community — especially in and around Worcestershire, where she was brought up — is what led to the creation of Empathia.
